friends for our lobby books (AKA Second Chance Books)
Lobby Books
We are happy to receive books in good condition to offer as part of our Lobby Books. Please remember that we cannot use magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, nor "well-loved" books (aka showing signs of wear).
Lobby Books is a wonderful way to add to your home library--with NO DUE DATE!
Books are selected by a team of dedicated book-loving volunteers from books donated from individuals' home libraries.
Some book donations are saved for the Plant and Book Festival, but many others are available for a very small monetary donation (noted on the inside cover of each book). The donations received from the Lobby Books are an important source of funds toward our support of the Library.

friends for the buy-a-book program
The Buy-A-Book Program provides funds to the Library for our librarians to select books they know will be valuable to our collection. This is not a direct-purchase program.
Buy-A-Book is a program through which you can support the Library as you gift book-loving and library-loving friends and family members. There are several levels of giving suggested which range from the cost to the Library of a book or two to the cost of an entire shelf of books. The Library is funded by County funds, but our contributions make a big difference to what our own Library can offer. Especially when December comes around, keep the Library in your "giving" plan through the Friends' Buy-A-Book program. (Scroll up after clicking on the link.)
To contribute in memory of a friend or a relative, or in honor of a friend, a relative or an event DURING THE REST OF THE YEAR, please go to the Gifting... Honoring and Remembering Others page. (Scroll up after clicking on the link, if necessary.) You do not need to join as a Friend to make a commemorative contribution.
