meet our library staff

Jennifer Finch ,  Head Librarian
Jennifer says:
I have lived in 6 different states and Houston is the longest I've ever lived anywhere.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana, Monroe.  I taught for one year before deciding my future lay in libraries.  I worked as a Children's Specialist with the Madison County Library System in Mississippi while completing my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science online through the University of Southern Mississippi.  After completing my degree I accepted the position as Young Adult Librarian at the Katherine Tyra at Bear Creek Library with HCPL, where I worked for seven and a half years.  I have spent the last two years as the Assistant Branch Manager of Youth Services at the Fairbanks Branch.  I am also involved in the local theater community with the Murder Mystery Co.  I have also been in productions with Stageworks Theater, Playhouse 1960, and most recently with Tapestry Players where I portrayed Doris Walker in a radio show version of Miracle on 34th Street.  (2019)
Loli de Llano,     Children’s Services Librarian
Loli  is a former public school librarian and most recently worked in the Programming Department at a Houston public library.  She is happy to be back working with Children’s programs and at our Spring Branch-Memorial Library.  She enjoys reading fiction and inspirational writers.

We will be featuring more of our Library staff  as this page develops.
