What is "Buy-A-Book"?
The Buy-A-Book Program provides funds to the Library for our librarians to select books they know will be valuable to our collection. This is not a direct-purchase program.
Every year starting in November, The Friends of the Spring Branch-Memorial Library suggests gifting library-loving and fellow bookworm family members and friends with a donation to add to our own Library's collection with books, audio books, eBooks/eAudios, movie DVDs and music CDs in the name of the recipient that will provide a legacy for our friends and neighbors for years to come. Of course, you can make a gift donation without a recipient as well as become a member or renew your membership with the BAB form. Donations exceeding $25 will have a commemorative bookplate placed in a purchased book.
Forms are also available at the Library.
There are several levels of giving suggested which range from the cost to the Library of a book or two to the cost of an entire shelf of books. The Library is funded by County funds, but our contributions make a big difference to what our own Library can offer. When holiday time comes around, keep the Library in your "giving" plan through The Friends' Buy-A-Book program.
To contribute in memory of a friend or a relative, or in honor of a friend, a relative or an event THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, please go to the Gifting...Honoring and Remembering Others page. You do not need to join as a Friend to make a commemorative contribution.
