we are sorry to say that volunteer opportunities are not available at this time. We will happily let you know when we can use your presence again!
what can you do?
Although The Friends does not offer opportunities as a "library" volunteer, there are a number of ways you can volunteer to help The Friends help our Library.
HELP SORT THE DONATED BOOKS FOR THEIR NEW FUTURE HOMES—either as part of the Library’s circulation or as Lobby Books. A group of volunteers meets on Friday mornings at the Meeting Room in the Library throughout the year and determines the future of our generously donated books.
HELPKEEP TRACK OF HOW MANY PATRONS ARE USING THE LIBRARY. Periodically the Library needs an actual count of how many people are visiting the library on a given day? Week? Each month? As early as December each year, HELP SOLICIT DONATIONS OF PLANTS AND COUPONS from neighborhood merchants to support our Annual Plant and Book Festival. Also the Festival needs people to manage the Membership Table and to help patrons with their plant and book selections.
If gardening is one of your passions, HELP WITH THE GARDENS around the library is always appreciated.
BE A BOOTH ATTENDANT at the annual All Villages Independence Day Festival that takes place on or about July 4. Take a turn giving people information about the Library and the Friends and distributing bookmarks, magnets and pamphlets from the booth.
ATTEND FUNLibrary functions and promote The Friends and its activities!
BE AVAILABLE FOR OCCASIONAL HELP WITH MAILINGS. Let us know your interest and we will email or call you, as you prefer.
